Quinton is a native of Suffolk, Virginia, and spent his formative years in the DC Metropolitan area pursuing various academic and business initiatives. A small business owner for many years, ranging from urban fashion clothing stores to eco-friendly dry-cleaning services, to a Southern cuisine food truck, Quinton has faced many challenges that come with being a small business owner, citing the 2008 economic recession as his greatest business education. Quinton has since carried forward these experiences into both his business and community development endeavors, where he is Chairman of the Charlottesville Minority Business Alliance as well as the Founder of Heritage United Builders and Co-Founder of Nansemond Clay Investors, a real estate investment firm.
Additionally, Quinton is an advisory board member of New Hill Development Corp. and the Community Investment Collaborative, a Projects committee member of the Building Goodness Foundation, and a Board member of the Black Professionals Network. Quinton regards himself as a serial entrepreneur, a connector of people, and someone who values opportunities to continuously gain perspective. In his spare time, he reads, travels, golfs, follows UVa sports, and continuously pursues laughter with his lovely wife – his life & business partner.
