Last week I had the privilege to be apart of a fantastic conversation about the power of diversity in the foodservice industry. The discussion was hosted by the American Culinary Federation and moderated by a very talented upcoming Chef, Ashton Garrett – American Culinary Federation Young Chef’s Club National President. It’s beautiful to see the next generation of Chef’s engagement. Check out the link below to watch this powerful discussion.

Some of the other panelists on the call were author and Chef Jennifer Booker and Vice President at ACF NWI, Gabriel.A.Rosado. Chef Jennifer has such a powerful perspective of being a black woman in a modern kitchen. Her ability to be open and raw about the barriers she has faced is inspiring and encouraging.

Chef Gabriel’s ability to share the employer’s perspective and provide tips on how young Chefs can be successful in the interviewing process and in the kitchen was truly enlightening.

The ACF continues to use its platform to inspire and encourage young Chefs around the world. Check out the link below to visit their site.
